PM & Mamata pay tributes to Sarada Math president Pravrajika Bhaktiprana Mataji

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday paid tributes to Sarada Math president Pravrajika Bhaktiprana Mataji on her demise.

In a tweet, the Prime Minister said, “I pay my tributes to Pravrajika Bhaktiprana Mataji. She will always be remembered for her rich efforts to serve society through the Sri Sarada Math and Ramakrishna Sarada Mission.”

“My thoughts are with all members of the Order and devotees. Om Shanti,” he added.

Earlier, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee condoled the demise of Pravrajika Bhaktiprana, the 4th president of Sri Sarada Math and Ramakrishna Sarada Mission.

She breathed her last on Sunday night at a city hospital.

She was 102.

The Math officials said Pravrajika Bhaktiprana was put on a ventilator at the Ramakrishna Mission Seva Pratishthan after her heartbeat went feeble and blood pressure began to drop rapidly.

The “President Mataji”, was taken to the Seva Pratishthan on December 5 after her health developed complications with cold and cough.

Chief minister Mamata Banerjee while condoling the passing away said, ” I bear a heavy heart upon hearing of the demise of revered Pravrajika Bhaktiprana Mataji, 4th President of Sri Sarada Math & Ramakrishna Sarada Mission.”

“An incomparable loss for all the followers of the Order and the devotees at large. May she rest in everlasting peace,” she added.
