PM Modi accorded ceremonial welcome, guard of honour ahead of talks with Kuwaiti leadership

Prime Minister Narendra Modi was on Sunday accorded a ceremonial welcome and guard of honour at the Bayan Palace and received by Kuwaiti PM Sheikh Ahmed Abdullah Al-Ahmed Al-Sabah, ahead of bilateral talks with the Kuwaiti leadership.

The MEA spokesperson in a post on X said:

“A special welcome on historic visit!

“PM @narendramodi arrives at the Bayan Palace in Kuwait to a ceremonial welcome and Guard of Honour. Warmly received by HH Sheikh Ahmed Abdullah Al-Ahmed Al-Sabah, PM of Kuwait.

“Extensive talks with HH the Amir, Crown Prince and PM of Kuwait lie ahead.”

According to a Kuwaiti readout, the Kuwaiti and Indian sides discussed bilateral relations between their two friendly countries, peoples, means of boosting these ties in various spheres, expanding cooperation, key issues of common concern, latest developments on the regional and international arenas.
