PM, Speaker wish Sonia Gandhi on her birthday

New Delhi, Dec 9 (UNI) Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla on Friday extended their warm wishes to former Congress president and MP Sonia Gandhi on her birthday.

Taking to twitter, the PM wrote, “Birthday greetings to Sonia Gandhi Ji. Praying for her long and healthy life.””Happy birthday to Lok Sabha MP from Raebareli (UP), Sonia Gandhi ji. Praying for your good health and long life,” Birla tweeted.

Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge also took to twitter to greet his predecessor.”Extending my warm birthday greetings to CPP Chairperson, Smt. Sonia Gandhi ji. Her grace, dedication indomitable spirit and dignity in the wake of adversity has inspired millions,” he said.Kharge wished her a long and healthy life.Among others, senior Congress leader Anand Sharma in a tweet wrote, “Wishing our leader and former Congress president Sonia Gandhi good health and long life on her birthday. May she continue to guide Congress and serving the country in the years to follow.”
