President Droupdi Murmu will pay her first visit to Sikkim on Friday after taking over as India’s head of state a little over three months back.
During her trip to the Himalayan state, Murmu will take part in a number of official programmes in this capital city and is tentatively scheduled to go to a town in South Sikkim on her way back to Delhi the next day, official sources said here.
After her arrival here from Aizawl on November 4, the president will be inaugurating and laying the foundation of a couple of roads and Institutes.
A major highlight will be the Inauguration of the newly constructed double-lane traffic tunnel on National Highway-10. UNI NN SSP
