President Draupadi Murmu has officially accepted the resignation of Dr Tamilisai Soundararajan from her positions as Governor of Telangana and Lieutenant Governor of Puducherry.
In light of this development, the President of India has appointed C P Radhakrishnan, the current Governor of Jharkhand, to assume the responsibilities of both the Governor of Telangana and Lieutenant Governor of Puducherry, in addition to his existing duties, until permanent arrangements are made.
A communique from Rashtrapati Bhavan on Tuesday stated that the appointment of C P Radhakrishnan will be effective from the date he assumes charge of his office.
