Rahul should look into his party affairs before pointing at BSP: Mayawati

Date:

Bahujan Samaj Party ((BSP) supremo Mayawati on Friday countered the statement of senior Congress MP and Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi and said that before pointing fingers at BSP, he should have looked into his affairs.

Mayawati said that in the Delhi assembly elections, Congress contested as the B team of Bharatiya Janata Party, due to which BJP got a chance to come to power in Delhi.

It may be noted that during his visit to Rae Bareli, Rahul had attacked BSP and said that in the Lok Sabha elections, BSP contested as BJP’s B team. He does not know why the BSP President did this. He said that if BSP President Mayawati had supported Congress, BJP would not have come to power at the centre.

Countering Congress MP’s statement, Mayawati wrote on X, “It is a common discussion that Congress contested the Delhi assembly elections as BJP’s B team this time, due to which BJP has come to power here. Otherwise, Congress would not have been in such a bad condition in this election that this party could not even save the deposit of most of its candidates.”

She said, “Therefore, it will be better if the supreme leader of this party, Rahul Gandhi, looks into his own affairs before pointing fingers at others and especially at the BSP chief. This is my advice to him.”

The BSP supremo said, “The new BJP government formed in Delhi has the challenge of fulfilling all its promises made during the elections, especially related to public welfare and development, on time, otherwise the condition of this party may also become as bad as that of Congress in the future.”
