New Delhi, May 19 (UNI) Congress leader Sachin Pilot here on Friday met the wrestlers who are protesting against the Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) Chief and BJP MP Brij Bhushan Singh over the alleged sexual harassment.Several wrestlers including Vinesh Phogat and Sakshi Malik are protesting at Jantar Mantar accusing Singh of sexual harassment.
“Since long time, they (wrestlers) have been protesting at Jantar Mantar. They brought laurels for the country by winning medals. The government and authorities must listen to their ordeals and look into their demands without any delay,” Pilot told reporters after meeting the wrestlers.Earlier, Congress MP Randeep Singh Surjewala met the wrestlers at Jantar Mantar today.
The Congress has been accusing the BJP-led government at the Centre of trying to save the WFI Chief.
