Select airports and airways temporarily closed

 The government has decided to temporarily suspend civil aviation operations at 32 airports, including Hindon, Srinagar, Chandigarh, Jodhpur, Rajkot and Bhuj, till May 14.

The Airports Authority of India (AAI) and aviation authorities have announced temporary closure of 32 airports in northern and western India for all civil flight operations from May 9 to 14, 2025 due to operational reasons, the Ministry of Civil Aviation said here on Saturday.

The Ministry said that according to the Notice to Airmen (NOTAM), Udhampur, Ambala,

Amritsar, Avantipur, Bathinda, Bhuj, Bikaner, Chandigarh, Halwara, Hindon, Jaisalmer, Jammu, Jamnagar, Jodhpur, Kandla, Kangra (Gaggal), Keshod, Kishangarh, Kullu-Manali (Bhuntar), Leh, Ludhiana, Mundra, Naliya, Pathankot, Patiala, Porbandar, Rajkot (Hirasar), Sarsawa, Shimla, Srinagar, Thoise and Uttarlai are included.

The ministry has said that all civilian flight activities will remain closed at all these airports till May 14.

AAI has also extended the temporary closure of 25 sections of Air Traffic Service (ATS) routes within Delhi and Mumbai Flight Information Areas (FIRs) due to operational reasons.

Airlines and flight operators have been advised to plan alternate routing as per existing air traffic advisory.
