Sixty percent landless people in Bihar should get land : PK

Jan Suraaj founder Prashant Kishor on Monday said sixty percent people in Bihar are landless and they should be given land by the government.

He said the number of landless people in the state was highest in the country.

Kishor told media persons that number of landless people in Bihar was highest in any state of the country. There were sixty percent landless people in Bihar and such figure among Dalits

(oppressed) was 86 percent in the state, he added.

“All landless people in Bihar should be given land by the government and there is need of the hour to carry out land survey “, the Jan Suraaj founder said, adding that his party, if voted to power, would carry out land survey to collect data in details, so that justice could be done to all particularly those who lagged behind on path of development.

The number of landless people should be brought down to 20 to 25 percent and there was no need to snatch land of anyone to give lands to landless, he maintained.
