Three persons charred alive in Bhagalpur

At least three of a family were charred alive and another sustained severe burn injuries in Athnniyan Diyara village under Pirpainti police station area in this district.

Sub divisional police officer of Pirpainti Arjun Gupta said here on Friday that the fire broke out suddenly in the house of one Gautam Yadav in which his wife Varsha Devi (30), son Pratyush

Kumar (07) and daughter Jyoti Kumari (04) were roasted alive.

Gautam Yadav sustained severe burn injuries in the inferno and was sent to Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College Hospital in Bhagalpur.

The fire tenders doused the flames. The fire broke out when a burning candle fell upon a diesel container.

The bodies have been sent for postmortem.
