Mr. A Ganeshamurthi, a sitting MDMK Lok Sabha member from Erode Constituency, passed away at a hospital in Coimbatore on Thursday.
He was admitted to a hospital in Coimbatore a couple of days back after he complained of vomiting and fell unconscious at his residence.
After administering first aid at a private hospital in Erode, Ganeshamurthi was shifted to Coimbatore hospital, where he died today without responding to treatment.
MDMK General Secretary and Rajya Sabha MP Vaiko, AIADMK General Secretary Edappadi K Palaniswami and leaders of various political parties condoled his death.
