UP Guv, CM greet people on Navratri

Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Saturday extended his greetings to the people of the state on the auspicious occasion of Shardiya Navratri beginning from Sunday.

The Governor has extended hearty congratulations and best wishes to the people of the state and countrymen on the nine-day Navratri festival dedicated to Goddess Durga.

In her message, she said that this holy festival should bring happiness, fortune and good health in everyone’s life and may there be happiness, peace and prosperity in life.

In a message the CM said that in the tradition of Sanatan Dharma of India, the worship of Maa Durga has been of utmost importance since ancient times.

“Mother Durga is the presiding deity of Shakti. She has infinite forms but Adi Dhakti showers her compassion on the living world by becoming Navadurga in the main nine forms,” he said.

He said that the Navratri is an effective representation of India’s feeling towards mother power.

“On this occasion, let us make the fourth edition of ‘Mission Shakti’ successful as a symbol of spiritual practice as well as protection, respect and self-reliance of women’s dignity,” he said.
