A man killed his wife and daughter allegedly over a family dispute in the Ramkola area of Kushinagar district in Uttar Pradesh on Saturday, police sources said.
Police sources said that the incident took place in Phulwariya Magrib village, where Indrajit Ali (52) attacked his wife Jakhurin Nisha (50) and daughter Rubina (18) with a sharp-edged weapon in the morning.
“Jakhurin Nisha and Rubina, who sustained serious injuries, died on the spot,” they said.
Police sources said that the bodies have been sent for postmortem examination.
“Efforts are being made to nab Indrajit, who is absconding after the incident,” they said.
