Woman killed & buried in Delhi graveyard

hree people were arrested for allegedly killing a 54-year-old woman and her body was buried in the Nangloi graveyard of Delhi, police claimed on Thursday.

Apart from these three, Delhi Police have also arrested the caretaker of the graveyard who allowed them to bury the body in the night and took an alleged bribe of Rs 5000 for not making any entry in the register, a Senior Police officer said.

The accused have been identified as Mobin, works as an auto driver, Naveen a tailor and Reha is a barber, police said.

According to police, the woman was missing since January 2, regarding this a complaint was lodged at Mangolpuri Police Station and police were searching for her.

The police said during enquiry it was revealed that she was a micro financer and doing the business of giving loan to hawkers in West Delhi on daily basis. It is said that the accused had taken some loan from the woman. The victim was asking for the money back from the accused.

The police found her phone was continuously switched off and CCTV Footage also didn’t conclude anything. Hence, a case was registered on January 7, and investigation was taken up, police said.

During investigation, police found the same location of the last two callers with the victim. On this basis enquiries were made with Mobin but nothing worked out but another suspect Naveen who earlier moved a bail application in this regard joined the probe on Wednesday evening and confessed that they were allegedly involved in the case, claimed police.

All three were apprehended and auto used in the offence was also recovered after following due procedure, body of the deceased was exhumed and sent to mortuary for post-mortem. Further investigation is underway, police said.
