Agartala, 8th November 2025: In anticipation of the 72nd All India Cooperative Week 2025, a high-level preparatory meeting was convened at the conference hall of the District Magistrate and Collector’s office in Jawaharnagar, Dhalai district. The session was chaired by Minister Santana Chakma and organized by the District Cooperative Department.
The meeting brought together key stakeholders including Dhalai Zilla Parishad Chairperson Sushmita Das, Additional District Magistrate and Collector, Ambassa Municipal Council Chairperson Protima Malakar, Ambassa Panchayat Samiti Chairperson Hemali Debbarma, Vice Chairperson Uttam Debnath, and other prominent officials and cooperative representatives.
Speaking to the media after the meeting, Minister Chakma outlined a series of events scheduled from November 14 to 20 to mark Cooperative Week. These include a Swachh Bharat Abhiyan drive, voluntary blood donation camp, sit-and-draw competition, quiz contests, seminars, and other community-focused initiatives. She emphasized the importance of self-reliance and progress, noting that the celebrations aim to raise awareness about the benefits and opportunities offered by cooperative societies.
The theme for this year’s observance, “Prosperity Through Cooperation”, highlights the role of collective effort in driving socio-economic development. Minister Chakma also highlighted the significance of the cooperative movement in India, calling the All India Cooperative Week a vital platform to promote its values and impact.
Representatives from various cooperative societies across the district participated in the meeting, contributing to the planning of a successful and inclusive celebration.
