Agartala, 16th January 2026:    Members of the Hindu community staged a strong protest today in Aralia, condemning a recent attack on a local household. Demonstrators demanded immediate arrests and exemplary punishment for those involved, submitting a written deputation to the District Superintendent of Police.

During the protest, participants called for swift police action against the miscreants responsible for the assault. Later, a delegation representing the Hindu community formally handed over a memorandum to the police authorities.

Protesters informed that on January 6, miscreants attacked the residence of Madhabi Sharma, a Hindu family in the Loknath area of Aralia. The attackers allegedly vandalized the house and a temple within the premises, leaving family members injured. The incident sparked widespread fear and insecurity among local residents.

Local leaders stated that a written complaint had already been lodged with the local police station. However, even after ten days, no arrests have been made. Expressing frustration over the delay, the Hindu community intensified its protest, urging immediate police intervention and the establishment of permanent security measures in the area.
