The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has inducted Rohan Gauns Dessai and Dilsher Khanna into the eight-member Women’s Premier League (WPL) Committee, following recent administrative changes.
Dessai joins the WPL Committee in his capacity as the newly elected Honorary Joint Secretary of the BCCI. Meanwhile, Khanna has been nominated to the panel to fill the vacancy left by Prabhtej Bhatia, who was elected as the BCCI Honorary Treasurer.
The restructured WPL Committee will be led by BCCI President Roger Binny as Chairperson, with Devajit Saikia serving as Convenor.
Other key members include IPL Chairperson Arun Singh Dhumal, BCCI Vice-President Rajeev Shukla, Honorary Treasurer Prabhtej Bhatia, and Honorary Joint Secretary Dessai. The panel also features Madhumati Lele and newly inducted member Khanna.
The appointments come as part of BCCI’s efforts to strengthen the administrative structure of the WPL, ensuring its smooth functioning and growth.
