India’s 25m Rapid Fire Pistol team of Anish Bhanwala, Sameer and Vijayveer Sidhu won the silver medal at the ISSF Shooting World Cup on Wednesday.
The Indian trio lost 15-17 to Czech Republic of Martin Podhrasky, Tomas Tehan and Matej Rampula in the gold medal match.
In the first qualification stage, Indian team shot 866-28x to finish second behind host Korea (872-34x) and Czech (863-35x) finished third.
India and Czech topped the second qualification stage with 578-19x and 572-15x respectively to advance the gold medal playoff while Korea (558-15x) and Japan (553- 8x) finished third and fourth respectively and qualified for bronze medal match.
Korea registered thumping 17-1 win over Japanese team to clinch the bronze medal.
India continued it domination in the medal with 15 medals including 5 gold, 6 silver and 4 bronze medals. Korea placed second with 12 medals followed by Czech on third with six.
