Shinde congratulates Indian shooters for winning gold medal in Asian Games

Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde on Monday congratulated Indian shooters team, comprising Rudranksh Balasaheb Patil, Divyansh Singh Panwar and Aishwarya Singh Tomar, for winning gold medal in Air Rifle event at ongoing Asian Games.

In a press statement here, he congratulated Indian shooters for this golden achievement, saying that the team has also broken the World Championship record.

He further stated that “in the Asian Games, the Indian team has won the country’s first gold medal in shooting in the air rifle category.”

While praising the trio, Shinde said, “India has always dominated the Asian Games. In the beginning of this year’s competition, these three have won the gold medal in shooting. For this, the players, their coaches-mentors and their families who support them also have to be appreciated.”

The Chief Minister expressed hope that India’s performance in this competition will remain the same on the strength of the performance of such stubborn and hardworking players, and that India will be at the top of the medal tally in this competition.
