12 killed in attack on Israel’s Golan Heights

The death toll from the shelling in the city of Majdal Shams in the Israeli-controlled Golan Heights has risen to 12, the Times of Israel newspaper reported on Sunday, citing Israeli army spokesman Rear Adm. Daniel Hagari.

On Saturday, the Israel Ambulance Service (MDA) reported that 10 people had been killed in the strike on the Golan Heights. Later, the Times of Israel newspaper reported, citing Hagari, that the death toll had risen to 11.

Lebanese movement Hezbollah denies involvement in the shelling of the town of Majdal Shams. Despite this, Israeli officials began to declare the imminence of war against Hezbollah and Lebanon.
