5.5-magnitude quake hits off E coast of Honshu, Japan

) An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.5 jolted off the east coast of Honshu, Japan at 0012 GMT on Saturday, the GFZ German Research Center for Geosciences said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 38.3 km, was initially determined to be at 40.93 degrees north latitude and 143.30 degrees east longitude.
