Colombian army helicopter crashes, killing four

Four people were killed and three others wounded in a military helicopter crash in Colombia’s border area with Panama on Monday afternoon, local media reported.

Media El Tiempo, Red Mas and others quoted military sources as saying that the Black Hawk helicopter, carrying seven occupants including four crew members and three passengers, crashed while performing landing maneuvers at a military base.

Colombian National Army said in a statement that in the general area of the Cuti Binational military base, Unguía, Chocó, an aircraft apparently suffered an accident, adding that contact was made with the Panamanian authorities to carry out verification.
