Five killed in Arsa-RSO shooting in Rohingya camp

The firing incident took place between the Arakan Rohingya Salvation Army (ARSA) and the Arakan Solidarity Organization (RSO) at the Rohingya camp in Ukhia, Cox’s Bazar. 5 people were killed. All of them are known to be members of Arsa. The incident took place in Camp-8 West of Ukhia early on Friday morning.

The deceased are Anwar Hossain (24), Mohammad Hamim (16), resident of Camp-8 West, Nurul Amin (24) of Camp-13 and Md. Nazimullah of Camp-10.. The other was not identified.

Confirming this information, 8-APBN Captain (Additional DIG) Amir Zafar said that three bodies were found when two groups of miscreants arrived at the scene in the early morning after receiving information about the firing of two groups of miscreants in the Rohingya camp. Two other injured people died when they were taken to the hospital. An operation is underway to arrest those involved in the incident.

The Rohingyas said that the conflict between Arsa and RSO has been going on for some time over the control of the camp. Due to this, there was a shootout between the two sides. 5 people died in it. In this incident, there was panic throughout the camp.

8- APBN Assistant Superintendent of Police (Operation and Media) Farooq Ahmed said, the internal conflict between multiple armed groups in the camp is increasing the murders. In the meantime, 5 people have been killed in the firing of two terrorist groups in the early morning. It was initially confirmed that they were all members of Arsa.

Farooq Ahmed also said, Who is Arsa, who is RSO – that is not the issue. No terrorist activities will take place in the camp. Those involved in the crime will be brought under the law. An operation is underway to nab the killers.
