Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has invited Kuwaiti Emir Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah to pay a visit to Tehran, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said on Wednesday, adding that the head of state accepted the invitation and that the trip will take place “at the appropriate time.”
“I conveyed to the Kuwaiti emir the invitation by the president to visit Tehran. There is general agreement on this issue, and coordination regarding time and … details will continue. This trip will be carried out at the appropriate time,” Araghchi said, as quoted by Iranian news agency Tasnim.
Araghchi traveled to Kuwait on Tuesday as part of his regional tour that included Lebanon, Jordan, Syria, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman, Iraq, Egypt and Turkey.
