An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.8 jolted near coast of central Chile at 0236 GMT on Monday, the GFZ German Research Center for Geosciences said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 90.3 km, was initially determined to be at 29.67 degrees south latitude and 71.35 degrees west longitude.
