Renowned Bollywood actor and philanthropist Sonu Sood is to receive the distinguished Humanitarian Award in recognition of his unwavering commitment to humanitarian causes.
Known for his relentless philanthropic endeavours, Sonu Sood emerged as a national icon during the COVID-19 crisis, providing large-scale assistantance to those in dire need. Through his Sood Charity Foundation, he has been at the forefront of social impact initiatives from aiding migrant labourers to supporting healthcare, education and livelihood efforts.
The actor will be felicitated with honour at the grand finale of the Miss World 2024 pageant, scheduled to take place in Hyderabad on May 31, where he will also serve on the esteemed of judges.
In a statement shared by Altair Media, the official PR handle of Miss World, Sonu Sood expressed gratitude for the honour. He said, “Receiving the Humanitarian Award is deeply humbling. I share this recognition with every volunteer and life we’ve touched through the Sood Charity Foundation.”
