Agartala, 12th July 2025: Taapsee Upadhyay, Director of the Delhi-based NGO Mission Healthy India arrived in Bishalgarh under Sepahijala district today as part of her nationwide campaign to promote health awareness and environmental sustainability.
Upadhyay embarked on her cross-country journey on a bullet bike from Uttar Pradesh on March 9. So far, she has traversed through Bihar, West Bengal, Assam, and Nagaland before entering Tripura, where she was warmly welcomed by the Chief Minister yesterday. During her stop in West Tripura district, she engaged with community leaders, social activists, administrative officials, and media representatives, stressing the importance of a holistic approach to public health.
During her visit to Bishalgarh, Taapsee Upadhyay was warmly welcomed at Vivekananda Shishu Niketan by Nabadal Banik, Chairman of the State Industrial Development Corporation. She held interactive sessions with students and educators, emphasizing the importance of health education and overall wellness. At the Routkhala Youth Association, she was greeted by Saikat Saha and engaged with local youths to promote community involvement. Later, she visited the Sepahijala Wildlife Sanctuary, where she planted a tree and encouraged the public to protect biodiversity and preserve natural habitats. Her day concluded with a shared meal alongside local social workers at the guest house, an arrangement facilitated by Nabadal Banik.
Before departing for Tripura’s southern district, Upadhyay extended an open invitation to travelers across India to explore the Sepahijala Sanctuary and witness the natural charm of Tripura.
Her campaign, Mission Healthy India, continues to gain momentum as she rides from state to state, blending health advocacy with a message of ecological preservation.
