Agartala, 13th July 2025: In a commendable act of empathy and quick response, Tripura Transport Minister Sushanta Chowdhury sprang into action on Sunday after witnessing a road accident near Tepania Park in the Udaipur sub-division of Gomati district.
The incident occurred while the minister was en route to Banduar to attend the Bhoomi Pujan ceremony of a tourism project. Upon noticing an overturned auto-rickshaw on the roadside, Minister Chowdhury immediately halted his convoy and rushed to the spot without any delay.
Displaying exemplary leadership and concern for public safety, the minister personally assisted in rescuing a passenger who was trapped inside the vehicle. He also ensured that the auto-rickshaw was safely moved off the road, preventing further inconvenience or potential danger to commuters.
The minister’s prompt action and hands-on involvement were widely appreciated by locals and bystanders at the scene, many of whom lauded his compassion and sense of duty.
