Agartala, 3rd August 2025: In a tragic incident, a three-year-old boy named Farhad Hossain drowned in a pond near his house in Ashabari village under Ward No. 4 on Sunday morning.
According to local sources, the incident occurred around 10:00 AM when the child went missing from home. His parents, Jalal Uddin and his wife, launched a frantic search after failing to find him inside the house. Suspecting that he might have wandered near the pond, Jalal Uddin went into the water to look for him and discovered his son’s lifeless body submerged beneath the surface.
Farhad was immediately rushed to the Boxanagar Social Health Center, where the attending doctor declared him dead on arrival.
The sudden and heartbreaking death of the young boy has cast a pall of gloom over the entire village. The Kalamchoura Police later visited the site and initiated an investigation into the incident.
The community mourns alongside the grieving parents, who are devastated by the untimely loss of their only son.
