Deputy CM lays foundation stone of state’s first scientific pig breeding center

Agartala: December 28. State government is going to set up states’ first scientific pig breeding center at Padmanagar in Amtali ADC village under Charilam block. It will cost Rs 2.78 crore.

Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Dev Varma today laid the foundation stone of the modern pig farm and science-based breeding center on Wednesday.

Charilam Block BAC Chairman Zakulo Debbarma, Rural Development Department Executive Engineer Dibakar Sheel, SDO Samarendra Debbarma, Junior Engineer Shankar Debnath and others were also present in the event.

Deputy Chief Minister said the central government has given 2 crore 78 lakh rupees for setting up the pig breeding center at Padmanagar in Charilam block.

The piglets produced by this breeding center can be distributed across the state. This breeding center will provide employment to the unemployed. Besides this day

Village Day is celebrated in Padmanagar and Dhariathal ADC Villages. Deputy Chief Minister was present. 25 citizens of Dhariathal Village were honored. Besides, 15 citizens of Padmanagar village were given PRTC and 30 people got ST certificate. 20 senior citizens were felicitated.
