Agartala, 11th August 2025: English-medium school teacher Suman Sharma and his wife Lipika Sharma commemorated their first wedding anniversary by distributing fruits, sweets and financial aid to patients at Ayushman Arogya Hospital in Ambassa.
The initiative took place on the eve of Independence Day reflecting the couple’s ongoing commitment to social welfare. Suman Sharma, a teacher at Bruha Para English Medium School has long been recognized for his family’s dedication to community service. Inspired by his wife, Sharma chose to mark the milestone not with pomp, but with purpose.
“Every year, our family sets aside Rs 50,000 to Rs 60,000 for social causes. This year, we wanted our anniversary and Independence Day to carry deeper meaning,” Sharma told media personnel.
Lipika Sharma actively supported the initiative, reinforcing the couple’s shared values of compassion and civic responsibility. Hospital staff praised the effort, noting the positive impact on patients and the uplifting spirit it brought to the facility.
With plans to continue such efforts in the future, the Sharmas’ gesture stands as a reminder of how personal milestones can be transformed into moments of collective goodwill.
