60 Kg Ganja Seized Near Indo-Bangla Border in Sepahijala

Agartala, 13th August 2025:  Sonamura Police on Tuesday seized 60 kg of dry ganja during patrolling duty at Bathadola area near the Indo-Bangla border fence in Sepahijala district.

 Officer-in-Charge Tapas Das informed that the ganja, wrapped in celotape, was found abandoned. Following all legal formalities, it was seized as unclaimed property.

The market value of the contraband is estimated at around ₹6 lakh. Sonamura Police have launched an investigation to trace the owner and source of the illegal consignment.
