Agartala, January 01, 2022: Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha today advised Agartala Municipal Corporation to provide logistic support to the cleaning staff working underneath it. The Chief Minister was speaking at the winter garments and blanket distribution programme organized by the Tripura Civil Service Officers’ Association.
Acknowledging the hard work and dedication of the cleaning staff, Dr Saha said, “The cleaning staff working under the Agartala Municipal Corporation are doing a great work in order to keep the city clean. People should not look down upon them as without their service, we may not feel fresh in the city. People work in different fields but each and every work is equally important for the society”.
Heaping praise on the TCS officers’ association, Dr Saha said, “This event is truly exceptional. Their efforts to help the people who help us in living a healthy life is praise worthy. When people of all sections of the society receive the benefits of welfare schemes we are coming with, only that day the dream of building a strong and prosperous Tripura would be successful”.
The Chief Minister also advised Agartala Municipal Corporation to ensure that all the cleaning staff of the AMC receive adequate safety gears and logistic support. The AMC must take initiatives to provide them healthcare services.
Speaking at the same event, AMC Mayor Dipak Majumder said, “The initiative of the TCS officers association is really impressive. The Cleaning staff of AMC who work round the clock to keep the city beautiful have been honored by the TCS officers. I would like to thank the association for their noble effort”.
Secretary of the association Ashim Saha delivered the welcome address. President of the association Dilip Kumar Chakma was also present in the event. Earlier, Chief Minister Dr Saha attended Sishu Mela organized by Naba Angikar, a social welfare society.
