Assam Riffles destroys Marijuana worth 60 lakhs

Agartala, 5th January 2023:       Agartala battalion of  Assam Rifles  destroyed large scale plantation of Marijuana (Ganja) worth 60 lakhs market values in Sambhucharan Para area of Jampuijala, Sipahijala district, Tripura on 05 January 2023.

Based on the input received  from source wrt a large scale plantation of Marijuana (Ganja) plants in the Sambhucharan Para, Takarjala, Jampuijala, Sipahijala district, Tripura near Indo Bangladesh Border; a joint Operation was launched by Agartala Battalion of Assam Rifles with police representative from Takarjala Police Station on 05 January 2023.

The joint operation destroyed approximately 60,000 Marijuana plants which were planted in 20 acres of Forest land at Jampuijala, Sipahijala district.  The State police has valued the total destroyed Marijuna plant to an approximate cost of Rs 60 lakhs. State Police is on its job to find out the cultivators.
