Agartala Jan 11: Soon after Tripura Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha sounded ‘happy-note’ on looking into the 10,323 teachers issue with a humanitarian approach, the state government on Wednesday issued a memorandum announcing a panel of three members to advice on the matter.
Although there lies no surity if the fate of the terminated teachers will be decided ahead of the polls, but a section of 10,323 teachers on ‘Hunger-strike’ expressed hope and faith while the JMC of 10,323 teachers called it to be plan only to delay the issue.
“The state government has decided to constitute an advisory committee for providing recommendations to resolve the issues related to the teachers dismissed as a fall out of a high court’s judgement in May, 2014,” said NC Debbarma, the Additional Secretary of Secondary Education in a memorandum issued on Wednesday.
It further mentioned, “The committee will submit their recommendation to the government on or before March 31, 2023”.Apart from that, four officers have been engaged to help the panel to be headed by retired high court judge A B Pal, Advocate Chandra Shekhar Sinha and Retd. IFS Officer Prasenjit Biswas.
On being asked by the reporters on this issue yet again on Wednesday, Dr Manik Saha said, “I too feel bad for the sacked teachers but we are trying to find a solution to the issue and that is why the committee has been formed”.“We have the will to do something for the dismissed teachers but fear that contempt of court may come on the way. They will have to wait, and I am hopeful of finding a solution to the fiasco,” he said earlier.
