Agartala, 7th October 2025 :A severe fire completely destroyed the animal hospital located adjacent to the Bardowal Tehsil graveyard. Within moments, everything inside the hospital was reduced to ashes. The intensity of the blaze was so high that the surrounding area was engulfed in thick smoke.
According to sources, the fire broke out suddenly in the early hours of the morning, catching nearby residents by surprise. They immediately alerted the fire brigade. Firefighters rushed to the scene and managed to bring the blaze under control, but by then, significant damage had already occurred.
The exact cause of the fire is yet to be determined. While an initial investigation points to a possible short circuit, both the fire department and local authorities have launched a formal inquiry.
No casualties have been reported. However, valuable medical supplies, important documents, and several pieces of veterinary equipment were completely destroyed in the fire.
The incident has caused widespread concern in the area. Locals have criticized the authorities, claiming that the hospital had long suffered from neglect regarding its electrical connections and safety measures.
