Agartala, 7th October 2025 : A shocking incident of fire broke out last night in Bhuiyarmatha area of Gokulnagar, spreading fear across the neighborhood during the festive Lakshmi Puja celebrations.
Eyewitnesses reported seeing flames and smoke suddenly erupt from a house, prompting nearby residents to alert the Bishalgarh Fire and Emergency Servcies immediately. Firefighters arrived promptly and managed to control the blaze. Some household items were reportedly damaged in the incident.
The homeowner alleged that the fire was deliberately set due to a land-related dispute. According to the affected resident, valuable possessions inside the house were destroyed in the blaze.
The incident cast a shadow of fear over Gokulnagar during the festival night. Local residents have demanded a thorough investigation and swift action from the authorities to identify and punish the culprits.
