Agartala, 10th October 2025 :  Tripura is set to witness a proud moment in its educational journey as nine students from three schools in the state have been selected to participate in a nationwide virtual interaction with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The event, titled “Spotlight”, is part of the “Viksit Bharat Nirman 2025” initiative organized by the Ministry of Human Resource Development and will take place on October 13.

A total of 400 students from across India will join the Prime Minister in this online session, which aims to inspire the youth towards self-reliance and nation-building. Representing Tripura will be students from Umakanta Academy (Agartala), Udaipur English Medium School (Gomati District), and PM Shri Sabroom Higher Secondary Girls’ School (South District)—with three students selected from each institution.

During the interaction, Prime Minister Modi is expected to engage students on themes such as Atmanirbhar Bharat, Swadeshi consciousness, Vocal for Local, and the vision of a prosperous India. The initiative seeks to instill a sense of responsibility and national pride among the younger generation, encouraging them to actively contribute to the country’s development.

The Tripura Education Department has been specially nominated for this program, and preparations are underway in the selected schools. Technical arrangements including internet connectivity and orientation sessions for students are being conducted to ensure smooth participation.

Speaking to the media personnel, Ranjan Debnath, Assistant Headmaster of PM Shri Sabroom Higher Secondary Girls’ School, said, “This is a historic chapter for Tripura’s education sector. The opportunity for our students to directly interact with the Prime Minister is a matter of immense pride—not just for them, but for the entire state.”

The “Viksit Bharat Nirman 2025” initiative marks a significant milestone in India’s educational landscape, positioning learning as a powerful tool for nation-building. Prime Minister Modi’s engagement with students is expected to serve as a beacon of inspiration for the country’s future leaders.
