Agartala, 14th October 2025: An IndiGo flight (No. 6E-9203) bound for Kolkata made an emergency landing at Maharaja Bir Bikram (MBB) Airport, Agartala, shortly after take-off around 12:40 PM on Tuesday, following a suspected bird strike on its left engine during ascent.
According to sources, the pilot decided to return immediately to ensure passenger safety. All passengers and crew members on board are reported to be safe. The aircraft has been grounded for detailed maintenance and inspection, while airline officials assess the extent of the damage.
Confirming the incident, Airport Director Kailash Chandra Meena told Tripura Chronicle, “The detailed report is yet to come. There might be some technical glitches faced by the pilot in the flight, that is why the pilot may have made an emergency landing in the airport.”
Airport authorities further stated that normal flight operations at MBB Airport remain unaffected despite the emergency landing.
