Tripura Gramin Bank holds mega blood donation camp to mark Vigilance Awareness Week

Agartala, 29th October 2025:    Ahead of Vigilance Awareness Week 2025, Tripura Gramin Bank (TGB) organised a large-scale blood donation camp on Wednesday at its Head Office in Abhoynagar, Agartala. The initiative witnessed overwhelming participation from bank employees, reflecting a strong commitment to social responsibility and public welfare.

The event was graced by Gitte Kirankumar Dinkarrao, IAS, Secretary of Health & Family Welfare, Government of Tripura; Raman Kumar Singh, Additional Chief Vigilance Officer, PNB Kolkata Unit; Venkatesh V, General Manager of TGB; Anup Kumar Saha, General Manager of TGB; and Rabindra Debbarma, Chief Manager (Vigilance Division).

Around 80 to 85 units of blood were collected, making it one of the largest blood donation camps in the city in the past six months.Speaking on the occasion, Gitte lauded the bank’s efforts in organizing the camp and commended the employees for their voluntary participation in this noble cause. He said such initiatives significantly contribute to the welfare of society.

Addressing the gathering, General Manager Anup Kumar Saha emphasised the importance of vigilance not just during the awareness week, but as a continuous practice in everyday life to prevent any untoward incidents. He underlined that vigilance is a shared responsibility of all citizens.Tripura Gramin Bank, known for its role in empowering rural communities through quality financial services, has been actively involved in implementing various government schemes. The successful organisation of the blood donation camp further reinforced the bank’s commitment to public service and social initiatives.
