Induction course launched by NB Institute for Rural Technology at Arkaneer auditorium

Agartala, 30th October 2025:  In a bid to prepare college students for future professional roles, the NB Institute for Rural Technology (NBIRT) inaugurated an induction course on October 27 at the Arkaneer Auditorium in Sekerkote. The initiative aims to equip students with practical insights into organizational goals, policies, work culture, and skill enhancement.

A total of 11 fourth-semester students from Rabindranath Tagore Mahavidyalaya, Bishalgarh, have enrolled in the program. Over the course of two weeks, concluding on November 11, participants will engage with various NBIRT projects to gain hands-on experience and develop competencies essential for workplace excellence.

The inaugural ceremony was graced by Associate Professors Shankari Das Deb and Sanchita Bhattacharya from Rabindranath Tagore Mahavidyalaya. Representing the host organization were senior official Mohit Lal Acharya, technical advisor P.L. Ghosh, project officer Anup De, and coordinators Arun Acharya and Nandan Chakraborty, along with other staff members.

The event commenced with a symbolic tree-watering ritual by the esteemed guests. Project Officer Anup De delivered the welcome address, while P.L. Ghosh highlighted NBIRT’s ongoing initiatives and offered valuable career guidance to the students.

Prof. Shankari Das Deb emphasized the relevance of induction programs in the context of the new education policy, noting their potential to significantly benefit students. Prof. Sanchita Bhattacharya urged participants to adhere to institutional norms and maintain synergy between the college and Arkanir to ensure the program’s success.

The management and structure of the induction course received high praise from the attending faculty, who commended Arkanir’s commitment to student development and extended their gratitude to the entire organizing team.

As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives, Arkaneer signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Rabindranath Tagore Mahavidyalaya on October 17. Additionally, students from IGNOU and Tripura Central University’s Rural Development and Master of Social Work programs frequently undertake internships and placements at Arkaneer with its support.
