Agartala, 29th November 2025:   A youth conference under the banner of Atmanirbhar Bharat Sankalp Abhiyan was organized by the Charilam Mandal at the Leela Deb Smriti Community Hall. The event witnessed the participation of several senior leaders and office bearers of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

Pradesh Yuva Morcha President and Bishalgarh MLA Sushanta Deb, Charilam Mandal President Tapas Das, BJP Sepahijala District (North) President Biplab Chakraborty, District Vice-President Amal Debnath, Charilam Block Panchayat Samiti Chairperson Khela Bhowmik, Janajati Morcha District (North) President Kanuraj Debbarma, and Charilam Block BOC Chairman Jakulo Debbarma.

The conference began with flag hoisting by Charilam Mandal Yuva Morcha Vice-President Amal Debnath, accompanied by District Committee member Shyamal Debnath. MLA Sushanta Deb inaugurated the session by lighting the ceremonial lamp and offering floral tributes to the portraits of Bharat Mata and Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya.

Addressing the gathering, Pradesh Yuva Morcha President Sushanta Deb reflected on the developmental works carried out in Charilam between 2018 and 2023, questioning why the constituency still faced electoral defeat. He emphasized that organizational strength is the key to electoral success, stating:

“Development alone does not guarantee victory. Unless the organization is strong at every booth, we cannot achieve good results. Strengthening the organization is the responsibility of the Yuva Morcha.”

Deb urged youth members to take active responsibility in fortifying the party’s grassroots presence, stressing that each worker must ensure their booth remains strong. He assured the youth that he would stand by them in times of need.

During his speech, Deb also recalled incidents of political violence, alleging that Parimal Saha was killed by the CPI(M) and Gautam Saha by the Congress, and asserted that neither Congress nor CPI(M) would be given space in the political landscape.
