Agartala, 22nd December 2025: A one-day awareness workshop aimed at promoting women’s self-reliance and addressing land-related legal issues was held at the Udaipur Panchayat Raj Training Centre. The initiative was organized by the Tepania Block Development Office.
The event was attended by Udaipur SDM Aidip Sarkar, Tepania BDO Dibyashree Dasgupta, and other senior officials. The workshop focused on empowering women to become self-sufficient and stand on their own feet, with discussions covering various aspects of economic independence and legal awareness.
Speakers emphasized that purchasing land does not automatically confer legal ownership unless the land is officially registered within 30 days. Legal experts provided guidance to members of various Self-Help Groups (SHGs), particularly women, on navigating land ownership laws and securing their rights.
The officials highlighted the government’s ongoing efforts to ensure that women can lead dignified and economically stable lives. They urged participants to take full advantage of the schemes and support systems available to them.
As part of the program, several SHG members were felicitated with awards in recognition of their contributions and achievements.
