Agartala, 27th December 2025: The decomposed body of an elderly woman, identified as Alladi Sarkar, was recovered from the office of the Chailengta, Karmachari Samannay Samiti, creating panic in the entire area.
According to sources, local residents noticed a foul smell coming from inside the office room this morning and immediately informed the police. Upon reaching the spot, police recovered the partially decomposed body.
Family sources said that the deceased woman, Alladi Sarkar, had been missing since after Durga Puja. It was also learned that a missing diary had been lodged by her family members and relatives at that time. Her identity has been preliminarily confirmed.
After inspecting the spot, police stated that the body has been sent for post-mortem examination. The exact cause of death will be ascertained after receiving the post-mortem report. An investigation into the matter has already begun.
Several questions have arisen regarding how the elderly woman reached the association office and how long she had been there. Police officials said they are also investigating whether anyone else is involved in the incident.
