Agartala, 29th December 2025: The administration has successfully rescued and brought back to the state several youths from Kailashahar who had gone missing after traveling to other states in search of work. The youths, hailing from Rangrung and Kalishasan tea estates, were brought to Kailashahar police station this evening, where they met Minister and Chandipur MLA Tinku Roy.
According to police records, 24 missing complaints had been filed in Kailashahar. However, through coordinated efforts, authorities managed to rescue a total of 45 youths, 34 from Kailashahar and 11 from North District and ensure their safe return.
At the police station, Minister Tinku Roy interacted with the rescued youths and inquired about their families. Relieved family members expressed gratitude to the minister and the police administration, thankful for the safe return of their loved ones.
The case dates back to December 9, when several youths reportedly faced difficulties after migrating to other states for employment. Following a formal complaint lodged on December 23, Kailashahar police launched an investigation. Minister Tinku Roy also wrote to the Labour and Employment Minister of Arunachal Pradesh, seeking assistance in the matter.
Thanks to the joint initiative of the state government, police administration, and inter-state cooperation, the missing youths were finally rescued and brought home. Their safe return has brought relief and joy across the community.
