Agartala, 5th January 2026: Youth Affairs and Sports Minister Tinku Roy today said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi envisions a Viksit Bharat by 2047, and the country’s youth will play a pivotal role in realizing this dream. The creativity, resilience, and visionary thinking of today’s young generation will shape the India of tomorrow.
Keeping this goal in mind, the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports has organized the “Young Leaders Dialogue” as part of the 29th National Youth Festival.
Speaking at a felicitation ceremony at Ujjayanta Palace, Youth Affairs and Sports Minister Tinku Roy congratulated the 62 young participants selected to represent their states at the festival in New Delhi.
These talented youths had earned first place in various state-level competitions. The group is set to depart for New Delhi by train later today, where they will take part in the three-day festival at Bharat Mandapam from January 10 to 12.
During the festival, the participants will engage in cultural programs, painting exhibitions, model design presentations, and the “Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue.” Minister Tinku Roy extended his best wishes to all the participants, emphasizing the importance of showcasing their state’s culture, heritage, and creativity with genuine dedication and heart.
“India is advancing rapidly, and so are the states. Today’s youth should learn from talented peers from other regions and contribute to making their state shine at the national level,” said the minister. He also highlighted the importance of combating substance abuse and encouraged young participants to take a pledge for a healthier future.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will personally meet the young participants during the festival to exchange ideas and inspire them to contribute to India’s vision for 2047.
The 29th National Youth Festival promises to be a platform for India’s youth to demonstrate their talent, creativity, and leadership, building the foundation for a Viksit Bharat envisioned for the future.
