Agartala, 12th January 2026:  Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha today praised the Tripura Civil Service (TCS) officers for their active participation in social welfare initiatives, emphasizing that everyone should contribute to society with a humanitarian mindset.

Dr. Saha made these remarks during a winter clothes distribution program organized by the Tripura Civil Service Officers Association in Ward No. 39, AD Nagar.

Highlighting the significance of the day, Dr. Saha said, “Today we also celebrate Swami Vivekananda’s birthday. His life and teachings continue to inspire us, especially the youth, to strive for progress. The winter clothes distribution by the TCS Officers Association is an excellent initiative. It reflects their commitment to serving the people beyond their administrative responsibilities. Notably, during disasters, they donated around Rs 14 lakh to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund, which is highly commendable.”

The Chief Minister further acknowledged the officers’ efforts in supporting education for underprivileged children and organizing voluntary blood donation camps.

“They are actively working at the block, sub-divisional, district, and state levels. People are witnessing their contributions, and such dedication is truly praiseworthy. Their actions consistently demonstrate a genuine commitment to public service,” Dr. Saha said.

He added that recipients of the winter clothes and all those present at the event would remember the association’s initiative for years to come, which could also serve as inspiration for other organizations.

Dr. Saha stressed the importance of collaborative efforts: “The government alone cannot address all societal needs. When organizations step forward for humanitarian work, it strengthens community support and complements government efforts. Helping others selflessly brings true satisfaction. Acts such as blood donation foster a deeper connection with society. Everyone should work hand-in-hand with people. This approach aligns with the Prime Minister’s vision of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Prayas, Sabka Vishwas.”

The event was attended by Tripura Civil Service Officers Association General Secretary Ashim Saha, prominent social worker Shyamal Kumar Deb, Municipal Corporation Corporator Alok Roy, and other dignitaries.
