Agartala, 18th January 2026:    Kailashahar witnessed a massive gathering on Sunday as thousands joined the Sanatani Hindu Conference to call for unity, preservation of culture, and protection of values within the Hindu community. The event, organized by the Sanatani Hindu organization, was held at the PM-Shri RKI ground near Manu Land Customs from noon, drawing an estimated 8,000 to 9,000 participants, according to organizers.

The conference began with traditional rituals and cultural performances. Guests offered water to the sacred Tulsi plant and lit lamps to mark the auspicious start. The session was chaired by Asim Chakraborty, with organization secretary Rajesh Orang, Sadhu Chandra Kanta Sinha, social leader Shashank Ghosh, and chief speaker Sashi Kant Pandey. Guests were formally welcomed with traditional scarves.

Delivering the keynote, Sashi Kant Pandey declared: “Everyone born on Earth is Hindu. Though many later change their religion for various reasons, their roots remain embedded in Sanatani culture.”

He emphasized India’s tradition of fraternity and coexistence, which allows people of diverse faiths to live peacefully. Pandey also recalled historical atrocities against Hindus in Murshidabad, Noakhali, and the Kashmiri Pandit community, stressing that “India forgets nothing—it remembers everything.” Referring to the Pahalgam incident, he said that true strength of Sanatani consciousness emerges when people assert their identity during times of crisis.

The cultural program featured stirring performances by local artists, including renditions of Vande Mataram, Gita recitations, Gayatri Mantra, Manipuri dance, Ganesh Mantra, and Saraswati Vandana. These performances deeply moved the audience, evoking strong religious and emotional sentiments.

The conference concluded in an orderly and peaceful manner. Organizers announced that similar large-scale religious and cultural gatherings will continue in the future to strengthen unity within the Sanatani Hindu society.
