Agartala, 19th January 2026: Despite repeated assurances of good governance, a troubling picture of neglect in the education sector has emerged from Kornajoy Chowdhury Para High School in Kanchanpur subdivision. Local residents and parents have alleged that while students attend school regularly, teachers in the primary section are frequently absent—leading to frequent disruptions in classes.
According to local sources, although the school is scheduled to begin at 7 a.m. daily, teachers often fail to arrive on time. Parents claim this irregularity has persisted for a long time, severely hampering the academic progress of young students.
“We send our children to school every day, but often find no teachers present,” said one concerned parent. “Without proper teaching, the children are falling behind.”
Attempts to contact school authorities yielded no clear response. Meanwhile, questions are being raised about the role and accountability of the education administration. Parents and local residents have warned that if immediate action is not taken following a thorough investigation, they may be forced to launch a protest.
Education advocates have condemned the alleged negligence, stressing that such lapses in a critical sector like education are unacceptable. All eyes are now on the concerned department to see when and how it will respond.
