Agartala, 28th January 2026: In a bid to ensure quality standards in public healthcare and maintain environmental transparency, External SSR representative and physician Dr. Pritam Debbarma carried out an important inspection at Teliamura Sub-Divisional Hospital.
The primary objective of the visit was to assess how well the hospital is upholding patient-friendly services, cleanliness, and overall hygiene. Dr. Debbarma toured the premises extensively, inspecting toilets, patient wards, corridors, and the outpatient department to observe the real conditions beyond paper reports. He personally evaluated the standards of sanitation and spoke with hospital staff and officials about measures taken to maintain health protocols.
Following the inspection, Dr. Debbarma emphasized that an unclean hospital environment can severely hinder patient recovery and significantly increase the risk of infections. He stressed that keeping the hospital premises clean is essential for the safety of patients and their families, adding that a hygienic environment is the first prerequisite for quality healthcare.
Health department officials noted that such inspections by External SSR representatives play a crucial role in enhancing transparency and accountability. They help identify both strengths and shortcomings of the institution, paving the way for more advanced and humane healthcare services in the future.
Local residents and members of the medical community expressed hope that this inspection, with its message of transparency, awareness, and responsibility, will have a positive impact on improving the service standards at Teliamura Sub-Divisional Hospital.
